Midas Junior inherits the Golden Rubber touch on his birthday and is unhappy because everything he touches turns to rubber. But when he learns there is a great shortage and need for rubber, he happily goes around turning everything to rubber.

A retelling of the King Midas story

A greedy King Midas is visited one day by a mysterious visitor who grants him the ability to turn all things he touches to gold. He learns his lesson when the food he tries to eat and his own daughter are turned to gold as well. The visitor reappears and offers him the opportunity to return to his old self, which he gladly does.

When King Midas is given the gift to turn objects into gold, he learns that there are things that are more precious than any gold in the kingdom.

Set in Silicon Valley, California, follows the lives of a group of people involved in the competitive world of computer electronics and the greed, passion and intrigue amongst them.
